About

My name is James P. W. Martin. I narrated an audiobook for an anthology of short horror stories, which I’m also published in, called Creaky Stairs: A Book of Dark Truths.  I was recently published in women’s fiction anthology, The Secrets We Keep, by Dandelion Revolution Press.  I am currently editing an anthology of short comedic fiction, Eggplant Emoji Volume 1, to be released October 19, 2021, as well as my own personal anthology of short stories, which will release shortly after.

I am a writer, filmmaker, editor, actor, singer, artist — really a jack of all trades.   I graduated from Emerson College in 2013 and I’m currently based in Bucks County, PA.  I’ve had short films in film festivals across the country, some of which are on my Vimeo and YouTube pages.  In 2016, I edited a documentary about a non-verbal autistic man (it didn’t get into Sundance, but I still think it’s pretty good).  I created the best fake TV series for cats by cats, called Cat Broadcast Station.

In October 2016, I organized a rally in Doylestown in support of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and their effort to combat the Dakota Access Pipeline.  I’ve given political speeches at other rallies and I continue my work with activism and human rights in mind.

I have been an active member of the Bucks County Writers Group for about five years.  Every week we discuss the craft of writing and critique the work of our peers, to constantly improve and create more effective prose.

Fun Fact about me: In third grade, I wrote a musical consisting entirely of Celine Dion songs.  My whole life I’ve been writing and entertaining, honing some kind of artistic craft and I think it’s about time I get paid for it.
